How to Work with a Pregnancy & Postpartum Nutritionist

Real-life, real food support for every stage of motherhood

Let’s be honest — motherhood is messy, magical, and often completely overwhelming. And when it comes to nutrition? Most mums are left to piece together advice from Instagram posts, Google searches, and half-remembered prenatal classes.

But here’s the truth: you don’t have to figure this out alone. Working with a pregnancy and postpartum nutritionist gives you access to clear, compassionate, real-life support — not just another list of foods to avoid.

At White Flamingo, I meet you where you are — whether you’re growing a baby, healing after birth, or just trying to make a meal that isn’t toast. Here’s what it looks like to work with me, and why it can make all the difference.

What Does A Nutritionist Actually Do?

Think of me as part nutritionist, part translator, part support system.

Yes, I’ll help you figure out what to eat. But more importantly, I’ll help you understand how food supports your body, your hormones, your healing, your mood, and your milk supply.

I focus on:

  • Managing pregnancy symptoms like nausea, fatigue, or heartburn

  • Supporting baby’s development through each trimester

  • Preparing your body for labor and postpartum recovery

  • Replenishing lost nutrients after birth

  • Addressing common postpartum struggles like hair loss, low energy, digestion issues, and stress

Making feeding yourself feel doable — even when you’re feeding someone else every two hours

Why General Advice Falls Short

You’ve probably heard:

  • “Just eat a balanced diet.”

  • “Take a prenatal vitamin and you’re covered.”

  • “Breastfeeding burns calories, so you’re good.”

But here’s the thing: this isn’t generic wellness — it’s a season of deep physical change. What worked for you before may not work now. And what your friend swore by might not make sense for your body, baby, or lifestyle.

Pregnancy and postpartum nutrition is not about perfection — it’s about precision, personalization, and practicality. You deserve advice that works for your real life — including cravings, nap schedules, and chaotic mornings.

A Personalised, Real-Life Approach

At White Flamingo, there’s no one-size-fits-all meal plan. Instead, I offer personalised care tailored to your stage, symptoms, preferences, and goals.

Whether you’re in the fog of the first trimester, prepping for birth, or 6 months postpartum and still not feeling like yourself, I help you: ✅ Cut through the noise ✅ Rebuild with intention ✅ Make nourishing choices that feel good — not overwhelming

We’ll talk about what’s actually going on in your body, how you’re sleeping (or not), what foods feel comforting, and what’s realistic for you right now.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Discovery Call (Free)

A no-pressure, 30-minute chat to talk about what you’re going through and see if we’re the right fit. Bring your questions, your worries, and your whole beautiful mess.

Step 2: Comprehensive Consultation (45 mins)

We dive deep into your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and goals. I’ll help you connect the dots and map out what your body needs right now.

Step 3: Follow-Up Session (30 mins)

We check in, adjust your plan, and celebrate progress (even if it’s small). I’ll keep things flexible, because life with a baby never goes exactly to plan.

Step 4: Ongoing Support

Each package includes a one-month nutrition plan and email support — plus optional recipe guides and WhatsApp check-ins if you want more hands-on care.

You Deserve to Be Nourished, Too

You’re not just “feeding the baby.” You’re rebuilding a body that made life. You’re adapting, healing, and holding so much. You deserve support that meets you with compassion, clarity, and actual answers.

So if you’re feeling depleted, confused, or just tired of figuring it out on your own — I’m here. Let’s make food your ally, not another stressor.
